Ceasefires are just band-aids—unless both sides actually resolve the border issue, it’s only a matter of time before fighting breaks out again. Sometimes you need decisive military action to make sure your country’s interests are protected for good.

It’s about time they stood up for their own people and borders, but I just hope this ceasefire doesn’t mean Thailand will back down on defending what’s rightfully theirs. Outside pressure shouldn’t dictate how a nation protects its sovereignty—let’s see if this truce actually lasts.

I’m really relieved to hear about the ceasefire, but honestly, it’s heartbreaking that it took so much violence and loss of life to get both sides to talk. No border or patch of land is worth even a single life lost, let alone dozens. I wish leaders would actually sit down and negotiate before things ever get to this point, instead of waiting until international pressure forces their hand. Hopefully, this truce holds and both countries start prioritizing dialogue over weapons for good.
